This medium-density moulded foam insert is a precision accessory for 1/10 on-road tyres, engineered to support the tyre crown and improve predictability. Placed between tyre and wheel, it helps the tyre keep a steady shape under load during cornering and acceleration on the circuit.

Compatibility and role: suitable for standard 1/10 on-road wheel and tyre assemblies, this component serves as a tuning aid rather than a one-off consumable. Using different insert profiles or densities lets you tune the contact patch and balance without swapping tyre compounds.

Installation notes: push the insert into the tyre before fitting to the rim, align the moulded profile with the tyre crown and ensure it sits evenly to prevent wobble. Only trim where necessary to match the wheel bore, then verify the assembly on a test run.

Maintenance and lifespan: foam inserts deteriorate with use, especially under heavy loads and abrasive surfaces. Replace inserts when they no longer hold the profile or when handling consistency drops off.
