This kit is a 1/35 scale snap-fit plastic assembly recreating the herbivorous dinosaur Fukuisaurus, presented within Tamiya's dinosaur model lineup.
Fukuisaurus is recorded from Early Cretaceous strata near present-day Fukui, Japan, and is dated at about 120 million years old. The animal is estimated at roughly 5.2 meters long, with a beak-like front jaw and cheek teeth adapted for plant feeding. Its limb proportions suggest the ability to move in both bipedal and quadrupedal poses, and it shared its ecosystem with predators such as Fukuiraptor.
The model reflects proportions and skin texture drawn from research carried out with the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum and academic consultants. Parts are produced for snap-fit assembly via Tamiya's CLIC LOC system, eliminating the need for glue on major joins. The kit provides sculpted skin detail, accurate tooth and mouth features, a separate display stand, two flat human silhouette figures for scale, a color leaflet and a paper scenery backdrop that can be painted.
Designed for model builders seeking a faithful small-scale representation with fine surface detail and museum-informed references.
