This kit is a 1/35 scale snap-together plastic model in Tamiya's Clic Loc lineup that recreates the theropod Fukuiraptor as a compact, research-referenced subject for display and study.
The Fukuiraptor fossils come from Early Cretaceous strata in Fukui Prefecture, Japan, with the holotype from the Kitadani Formation. Estimates place the animal at about 4.7 meters long, identified as a carnivorous theropod with robust forelimb claws and elongated hind limbs indicative of an active predator.
Sculpture and surface texture in the kit were developed with reference to academic findings. The head is produced with slide-molding to capture fine dental detail, while claws and limb contours display sharp molding. The kit is arranged in a natural static pose and includes a display base plus human silhouette pieces to convey scale. A full-color leaflet provides specimen context and suggested paint schemes. No cement is required; Clic Loc parts fit securely together. The completed assembly measures approximately 118 mm in length per the build guide.
A compact, research-referenced static kit that highlights sculpted detail and a balanced pose, ideal for display cases and comparative model study.
