SLF Short II specific white spring

The Yokomo YOKB7-14475 is a white coil spring sized 1.4 x 20.5L x 4.75T intended specifically for SLF Short II shock assemblies on 1/10 scale touring and pan car setups. As a replacement spring for SLF Short II shocks, it retains a linear profile appropriate for short-stroke damping systems.

Compatibility and fit: this spring is identified for use with SLF Short II components according to the product name, and should be treated as a direct spring replacement where the original spring geometry matches the 1.4 x 20.5L x 4.75T specification. Do not assume compatibility with other shock models unless specified elsewhere by the chassis or shock manufacturer.

Installation notes: remove the shock cap and retainer, slide the worn spring off the shock shaft, and install the YOKB7-14475 in the same orientation as the original. Verify preload and spring seating before reassembling the shock to the hub carrier. Use basic shock service practices such as cleaning the shaft and inspecting seals while swapping springs.

Tuning role: spring choice directly affects compression and rebound balance in short-stroke setups; the 1.4mm wire white spring provides a specific firmness that helps control body roll and ride height in tight, responsive track layouts. Combine spring changes with damper oil and piston tuning to achieve the intended handling rather than relying on spring swaps alone.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Remove the cap and retainer, slide off the old spring, fit the new spring in the same direction, then check seating and preload before refitting to the car.
Not always, but it is good practice to inspect oil and seals; if oil looks contaminated or damping feels off, refresh the oil while you service the shocks.
Match the coil pitch and direction to the original spring and ensure the ends sit flush against the retainers to avoid binding.
