Silicone Diff Fluid - #15000 Grade

This 30cc bottle of Yokomo YOKCS15000 is a silicone-based super blend formulated for RC-scale gear differentials. It is provided as a ready-to-use fluid labeled #15000 for hobbyists who tune differential behaviour in on-road and off-road models.

Its role is to influence torque transfer across the gear differential: heavier silicone grades produce stronger locking effects than lighter fluids. Choose #15000 when a firm diff response is needed to improve traction during hard acceleration or tight corner exits, while keeping in mind that overall handling is affected by tires, suspension and gearing too.

Fitting the oil is a straightforward maintenance task for compatible gear diffs and gearboxes: drain the old fluid, inspect seals and o-rings, then refill the diff cavity with the correct quantity. Refer to your chassis documentation for exact fill volumes and recommended service intervals.

Can this fluid be used in limited-slip or clutch-type diffs?

This product is formulated for gear-type differentials that accept silicone oils. It is not intended for mechanical clutch-style diffs unless the manufacturer specifies silicone oil use.

What is the best way to store leftover oil?

Keep the bottle sealed and stored upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Label any opened bottles with the date and viscosity for workshop tracking.
