How the spacer adjusts roll centre

This aluminium spacer set is built for 1/10 scale YZ-2 series vehicles to modify roll behaviour by increasing gearbox mount height by 2.0mm. Placed beneath the gearbox, the shim changes weight transfer and roll centre margins while leaving suspension pick-up geometry intact.

The spacer sits under the gearbox, positioned above the rear suspension mount and in front of the rear brace. When tuning, adding this shim can reduce rear roll and shift balance through mid-corner sections; results will vary with anti-roll bar stiffness and shock damping choices. Fitting the spacer involves removing lower chassis fasteners and lifting the gearbox to insert the shim at the mounting point.

Can this spacer improve mid-corner balance on the YZ-2?

Yes. By raising the gearbox mounting you alter roll distribution which can reduce rear grip roll and help achieve a more neutral mid-corner balance when paired with suitable shock and anti-roll bar settings.

Should I change ARB or shock settings after fitting the spacer?

Often recommended. Drivers commonly soften the rear anti-roll bar or adjust shock damping to complement the raised gearbox and reach the intended handling balance.
