This piston pin is a scale replacement intended for installation in O.S. Engine 35AX-class motors and other assemblies built to the 35AX design. It serves as the rotating link between piston and connecting rod and is supplied as a single pcs spare for normal workshop servicing and repairs.
Fitting is a bench procedure: remove the piston, inspect the piston bore and pin seat for wear or scoring, slide the pin into the piston and line it up with the connecting rod, then secure any circlips or retainers present. Lightly oil mating surfaces before final assembly to reduce initial friction and confirm axial play after fitting.
During tuning and routine service the piston pin is a consumable that affects sealing and rotation quality. Change the pin if there is scoring, out-of-round condition, or excessive axial movement, and examine the piston ring and rod bearing together to maintain engine consistency.
