Compact anodized shim collars

This pack contains eight 3x6x1.5mm aluminum shims/collars in red manufactured by Yokomo, intended as small, precise spacers for hobby R/C models. The rings are intended to sit where a thin, rigid shim is required to correct wheel spacing, centre an axle, or take up a small amount of lateral play in assemblies that accept a 3x6x1.5mm washer-style part.

The anodized aluminum construction resists corrosion better than plain metal washers while remaining lightweight. The red finish makes individual collars easy to spot when organising parts during a build or setup session.

Fitment is simple when the mating parts allow a 3x6x1.5mm shim: position the collar on the shaft or between hub surfaces as needed, then reassemble the related components. Follow standard workshop checks to confirm free movement and to prevent binding; remove the original part for a trial fit if clearance is uncertain.

For setup and small tuning changes, single or multiple collars can be stacked to tweak track width, alter bearing preload, or remove slight axial slack without modifying larger components. Keeping extra collars is a low-cost way to experiment with fine geometry changes.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes. The collars are made from anodized aluminum which offers better corrosion resistance than untreated steel washers in typical hobby conditions.
They are lightweight precision shims suitable for routine setup adjustments; inspect them for wear in high-impact applications and replace if deforming is observed.
Wipe clean after use, avoid harsh chemicals that can damage anodizing, and store spare collars in a labelled container to prevent mixing sizes.
