The Tamiya 51761 kit contains two 46mm drive shafts intended for double cardan joints and supplied in the ball bearing configuration to cut rotational losses in the driveline. These shafts are specified for the TRF421X chassis and may be fitted as direct replacements on TRF421X (Item 42391) or used to upgrade the standard TRF421 (Item 42384).

When installed, the ball bearing arrangement reduces speed loss through the joint under steering loads, helping to maintain consistent drive during cornering.
