The Tamiya 53964 48P Pinion Gear set contains two lightweight aluminium pinions, 16T and 17T, letting you adapt gear ratio to track layout or surface grip. Swapping between the two is a fast way to alter acceleration and top end.

Chassis Compatibility Notes

These pinions are specified for TRF501X and DB01 chassis models but will fit other cars that accept 48P pinions and the same shaft size. They are not suitable for 540SH or RS-540 Sport Tuned Motors, so double check the motor model before fitting.

Tuning Recommendations
