Summary of the RTC arm

This arm is an RC-scale replacement crafted for the optional RTC (Rear Toe Control) assembly on BD8 2018 chassis. The measured in/out suspension pin distance is 53mm and the shock pivot is positioned at 39.5mm to align with RTC geometry used on BD8 setups.

Compatibility is aimed at BD8-family on-road cars and the arm is explicitly suitable for MRTC-BD8SV. Install this arm when fitting or adjusting the RTC unit to modify rear toe behaviour while leaving the main bulkhead and suspension geometry unchanged.

Installation advice: the part is supplied as a direct-fit spare for the BD8 RTC mounting points, so plan to reuse existing pins and hardware unless they are worn. Verify alignment and smooth movement after install and ensure the arm does not interfere with the shock or driveshafts.

Tuning function: using this arm with an RTC-equipped rear end gives a controlled method to alter rear toe sensitivity. Small adjustments in arm or pivot location lead to consistent toe response during roll and braking, useful for fine-tuning corner exit balance on prepared on-road tracks.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
If an older BD8 has the RTC mounting points or you retrofit those mounts, the arm will fit. Without RTC mounts the part will not sit correctly and additional parts or modification are required.
Check that pins move freely, fasteners are secure, and the shock clearance is correct. Replace any worn pins or hardware and confirm there is no binding with the driveshafts before running the car.
Changing rear toe sensitivity via the RTC arm alters how the rear responds under braking load, which can improve stability into the corner. Effects are subtle and intended for tuning rather than drastic handling changes.
