This 59ml silicone shock fluid is intended to modify damping behaviour inside model shock absorbers. At 700cSt the oil provides higher resistance and slower rebound than lower viscosity grades, helping to stabilise the chassis over rough surfaces and during direction changes.
To service shocks, empty the existing fluid fully and refill according to the shock manufacturer's suggested fill level. Work the shaft through its travel repeatedly to allow trapped air to escape prior to final assembly. Check piston condition and seal integrity during the service to maintain consistent damping.
When aiming for durability, 700cSt suits setups needing stronger mid-to-high damping to reduce harsh movements and maintain control under sustained loads. Adjust springs and shock mounting positions alongside oil changes to preserve predictable handling through long sessions.
