The JR-TA105-BK aluminum rear shock tower replaces the factory rear mount on Tamiya TA01 and TA02 1/10 scale touring car chassis, creating a more rigid support point for shocks and suspension linkages. This component is made for RC model use and is not suitable for road vehicles.
By limiting flex at the shock mounting point, the tower helps hold suspension geometry more consistently under load and offers a stronger anchor when testing different shock positions or damping setups. That stability can improve repeatability when tuning roll resistance and rebound characteristics.
Installation is performed through the rear sub-assembly procedure used on TA01/TA02 platforms. Remove the existing tower, move over any necessary hardware and bushings, then secure the new tower using the original mounting holes. Confirm shock shaft and linkage clearance before final tightening.
