Lightweight Aluminum Mount Shim

The Yokomo YOKSD300S is an aluminium suspension mount shim created for precise adjustments in RC-scale suspension setups. It fits between suspension mounts or shock towers and the chassis to shift the effective mounting point without changing surrounding components.

As a setup aid, this shim helps builders make controlled, repeatable modifications to ride height, pivot locations, and suspension geometry. It is a purpose-made accessory for model cars and similar assemblies.

Fitting the shim is straightforward: remove the affected bolt or mounting hardware, insert the spacer where extra offset or clearance is required, then reassemble and torque to the original specification. Make changes incrementally and verify the handling on a trial run.

Routine inspection is advised; confirm the shim remains correctly seated, ensure no moving parts are impeded, and replace the part if it shows signs of bending or wear. Aluminium gives good corrosion resistance but check surfaces after exposure to salt or grit.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The aluminium construction is stiff and resists corrosion, but like any metal part it can deform under heavy impact. Inspect after hard use and replace if the shape is compromised.
Stacking is possible to achieve greater offset, but confirm that bolts maintain full thread engagement and that the assembly does not introduce new stress points.
Check for flattening, cracks, or burrs at mating faces and confirm the spacer sits flush. Replace if there is obvious deformation or if it causes binding with adjacent parts.
