This split upper deck is an aftermarket hop-up made specifically for the ARC A11 touring platform. The 1.6mm graphite plate fits into the rear/front upper deck positions and functions as an upper-chassis mounting element on the A11.
Its main role is to influence local stiffness and to help rebalance load transfer between the front and rear. Changing upper deck pieces is a common tuning step to adjust the way the chassis transmits forces between suspension components and to change vehicle behaviour during corner entry and through the middle of the corner.
Installation involves removing the original A11 upper plate and fitting this split unit into the corresponding locations. Make sure fasteners align correctly and that the deck sits flush; because the plate is graphite, small torque adjustments will affect perceived rigidity.
Tuning approach: use this deck to assess shifts in understeer versus oversteer and to refine chassis feedback without touching suspension geometry. Record each change so lap comparisons are meaningful when testing different decks.
