Gasket for Kraton 6S EXB Gearbox Housings

This silicone sealing strip is offered as an aftermarket replacement compatible with ARRMA gearboxes, engineered to seal front and rear gearbox housings on Kraton 6S EXB and a range of ARRMA 1/7–1/8 models. The integrated 3M adhesive helps hold the gasket in place during reassembly and reduces the chance of grease or oil migrating to bearings and other drivetrain parts.

The material and profile are intended for hobby RC gearboxes and provide resistance to compression set and aging, allowing reuse during regular servicing. It is noted as a direct replacement for original part ARA311190, matching the intended sealing function without modifying gearbox components.

From a tuning and service point of view, a well-sealed gearbox keeps lubrication at the spur and pinion interface and helps prevent contaminant ingress to ball bearings, lowering the need for premature bearing service. The adhesive backing makes alignment quicker, but builders should always confirm gear mesh and bearing clearance before final assembly.

How long will the silicone gasket last under regular use?

With normal hobby use the silicone profile resists compression set and aging; it can typically be reused across several service cycles, but inspect for tears or permanent deformation during each gearbox strip down.

Does the adhesive affect future gasket removal?

The 3M adhesive provides secure temporary placement but is designed to allow removal without damaging housings; clean remaining adhesive residue before fitting a replacement gasket if needed.
