Functionally the fluid provides viscous coupling inside sealed or rebuildable diffs; greater viscosity increases slip resistance and a firmer coupling, while lower viscosity allows freer wheel speed differentiation. Use this fluid only in R/C diffs and associated small-scale drivetrains.
