This limited edition Arrowmax ball driver am-429125 was developed as an RC-scale hex tool to access recessed or angled hex screws while keeping a secure hold on 2.5mm heads. The ball tip design accepts small approach angles without cam-out, making it useful when the chassis or bodywork limits straight-line access.
In workshop use the driver is commonly used to set shock caps, tighten linkage ball ends and work on tight-clearance fasteners that a straight driver struggles to reach. The 110mm effective length reaches into deeper areas and the 2.5mm tip matches the hex fasteners found on many 1/10 and comparable class vehicles.
Work method: press the ball tip into the hex recess, maintain steady axial pressure and allow the slight angular play to align the driver with the screw, then apply controlled turns. Use short, deliberate turns at the end to reduce the risk of stripping small threads in plastic components.
Care: remove debris from the tip and inspect regularly for wear before precision setups; replace the driver if the tip rounds to ensure continued secure engagement with small hex heads.
