Replacement upper ball-top for off-road use

This 85mm ball-top damper is built as a plastic replacement component for the Associated RC 10 GT 2RS off-road setup. Supplied as a pair, each unit includes a dust-proof black cover, washers and mounting screws and is intended to handle ball-end interface and linkage seating rather than internal shock internals.

Fitting is straightforward: remove the original ball-top, install the supplied washers, secure with the provided screws using the correct hex driver and then slide the dust cover over the joint to reduce dirt ingress. No special shop tools are needed, just standard hex drivers and adherence to chassis torque figures.

Used primarily at the shock's upper pivot, this part adjusts clearance and ball seating rather than damping. It is a common choice when replacing worn ball tops or when a corrosion-resistant, lightweight plastic option is preferred for dusty conditions.
