RC18T fibre chassis upgrade

This fibre main chassis is supplied as an aftermarket replacement for the Associated RC 18T. The set includes alloy mounting brackets, mounting screws, E-clips and Delrin posts to attach common subcomponents without extra machining.

When fitting the plate, line up all mount points and check clearances at the gearbox, motor and suspension pickups before final tightening. Use progressive torque on fasteners to avoid deforming the fibre edge or compressing the Delrin posts.

Ideal for hobbyists who prefer to adjust handling through mechanical setup, this chassis alters baseline flex so drivers should tune ride height, shock valving and anti-roll settings to restore desired balance.

Specifications

  • Item: Associated RC 18T fibre main chassis with alloy mounts, screws, E-clips and Delrin posts 1pc set Economy Version
  • Material: Fibre
  • Model Number: FAR016
  • Compatibility: Associated RC 18T

Designed for direct replacement on RC18T models; use it as a setup component to influence flex and balance and follow routine assembly checks after installation.

No trimming should be necessary for standard Associated RC 18T models; the chassis is intended to use the factory mounting points provided in the kit.
Fit all screws loosely first, check alignment, then tighten incrementally to final torque. This prevents stressing the fibre or compressing Delrin posts unevenly.
Because the chassis alters flex, you may need to revisit shock valving and ride height to achieve the same handling balance as the original plate.
Inspect screw tightness, ensure Delrin posts are not compressed, check for motor or driveshaft interference and perform incremental setup adjustments on the track.
