This alloy front and rear ball differential joint pair is built for use on Associated RC18T models. Sold as two pieces, each joint secures with its lock nut to form a metal replacement for the stock plastic or softer components.
Functioning as both a direct replacement and a tuning part, switching to alloy joints alters output friction in the differential, useful for adjusting traction and cornering response on 1/18 on-road cars. The parts are intended for radio control models only.
Fitting is simple for hobbyists familiar with diffs: remove the cover, remove the existing ball joint, insert the alloy unit, and tighten the supplied lock nut to the recommended torque. Standard hand tools will do the job, and light threadlocker may be applied if required for long sessions.
Maintenance follows usual metal drivetrain practice: wipe clean after demanding runs, check the ball seat for wear, and replace when play appears. Applying compatible differential oil helps protect the contact surfaces and maintain consistent behaviour.
