Steering bell crank essentials

This steering bell crank features a 5mm bearing inner diameter and is intended for Yokomo BD7 and BD5 on-road 1/10 chassis. It provides the pivot point for the front steering assembly and is suitable for hobby use and club racing models.

Designed for BD7 and BD5 platforms accepting a 5mm bearing, the unit replaces the original bell crank to ensure a repeatable bearing fit and steady pivot behaviour while retaining factory steering geometry.

For installation: remove the stock bell crank, move any spacers or clips across, then fit the BD-202S5 to the steering post using the vehicle's existing hardware. Verify the assembly rotates freely and that linkages align correctly prior to driving.

In setup work the bearing interface helps eliminate pivot friction and offers a constant axis for tuning steering characteristics. Consider it when you need improved steering consistency or to replace worn steering components.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Clean the steering post and remove the factory bell crank, then inspect spacers and clips for wear. Transfer any reusable parts and seat the BD-202S5 so the bearing runs smoothly on the post.
The BD-202S5 is supplied with the 5mm bore; in most installs no extra bearings are required, but inspect existing seals and replace them if damaged.
Periodically check for free rotation and clean the bearing area. Replace the bell crank if you notice excessive play or corrosion to retain predictable steering.
