This scale steering linkage rod is made for the Axial AX10 Scorpion chassis and other AX10-series models, carrying the part number AX10-27/GR. It acts as a direct spare or replacement that connects the servo output arm to the front steering knuckles, ensuring steering inputs pass cleanly across the axle.
Fitting is straightforward: unclip the old rod from its ball cups, fit the new rod into the existing ball ends, and adjust length so the steering geometry centres at neutral. Check ball cup seating and eliminate any play, then fine tune the length to reduce steering slop and set the preferred toe and centring behaviour.
Used as a tuning element, the link changes steering feel and mechanical free play without altering servo power rating or suspension geometry. Tiny length tweaks change toe angle and steering return characteristics, and keeping the rod parallel to the servo arm at rest gives more predictable handling on rock crawling sections.
