EXO rear shock upgrade in alloy

This rear adjustable spring damper is an RC-scale replacement aimed at Axial Racing EXO vehicles, supplied as 1pr and finished in alloy for improved chassis resilience. It is intended for rear suspension use on EXO-style rigs and offers preload adjustment while preserving low-speed damping character.

Fitting is simple for anyone comfortable with shock swaps: remove the original rear dampers, locate the alloy replacements in the same rear shock mounts, secure with the original fasteners and verify full travel clearance before running. No specialist tools beyond common hex drivers are required.

Setup advice centres on matching preload and damping to the car and surface. Make incremental preload changes and run short trials to observe squat, rebound and grip; small tweaks to preload can refine rear traction for crawling and trail runs.

They are produced for EXO rear applications but you should check mount spacing and hardware length to confirm compatibility before final fitting.
You can use stock springs to begin with; adjust preload to suit vehicle weight and intended terrain, and swap springs later if you need a firmer or softer rate.
Confirm secure fasteners, full suspension travel without binding, and correct preload settings. Revisit hardware torque after the first short session.
