This CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminium front and rear axle housing set is manufactured to preserve the original gear locations, enabling direct installation onto the stock axle gear layout of AXIAL Racing SCX10 II crawlers. The aluminium construction improves resistance to abrasion and impact compared with the OEM plastic shells encountered during rock contact and trail abuse.
Intended as an aftermarket chassis reinforcement, the housings reduce component failure from repeated ground contact while maintaining original gear alignment and mounting points. Threaded mounting holes are sized for the supplied stainless fasteners, making the set suitable when a metal housing is preferred for long-term durability and easier tuning of axle protection.
The kit includes the stainless screws shown below to secure the housing and cover; additional hardware is not included.
Use SCX2012 housings when replacing worn plastic axle shells or when fitting a metal upgrade to lower damage risk during aggressive trail runs while keeping stock gear alignment on AXIAL Racing SCX10 II models.
