Overview of the rear housing

This aluminium rear axle housing is a scale replacement manufactured by GPM for Axial Racing Yeti vehicles, supplied as a direct-fit option to replace worn housings or to obtain a stiffer rear section. The part number is YT013 and it comes as a single set prepared for rear axle assembly replacement.

In workshop practice the housing provides the structural mounting point for the rear axle tube, bearings and drive elements. When fitting, check the seating of the rear 走珠軸承 and axle tube and make sure alignment with the gearbox and suspension pickup points is correct to avoid driveline bind.

As a tuning element, aluminium reduces chassis flex relative to some stock materials, which can alter traction feedback and vehicle attitude on steep rock moves and quicker trail sections.
