Diff bevel and pinion details

This 3pc set is offered as a direct-fit drivetrain replacement for Axial vehicles, concentrating on the differential output gear and the motor pinion interface. Hardened steel #45 construction and a spiral tooth bevel help the gears mesh more quietly and spread load across more teeth.

Included parts: diff bevel gear 38T (1pc), pinion gear 13T (1pc), M4*2.5*12 screw pin (1pc). Note: the M4*2.5*12 screw pin is not suitable for the Wraith platform; when fitting to Wraith models retain the original screws supplied with that kit.

Installation guidance: set proper gear mesh and check backlash after assembly, confirm the pinion is seated correctly on the motor shaft, and apply a suitable RC gear lubricant to the contacting surfaces. The spiral-cut bevel requires careful axial alignment to avoid edge loading.

Compatible Models

  • Axial RR10
  • Wraith
  • Yeti(90026,90050,90068)
  • SMT10 AX90055
  • AX90057

Ideal when replacing worn diff bevels or upgrading for tougher use; confirm screw fitment for Wraith kits and fine tune mesh for dependable drivetrain behaviour.

Yes, spiral bevel profiles tend to run quieter and distribute load better than straight-cut bevels, which can reduce gear whine under load.
Hardened steel #45 offers improved wear resistance for most hobby-level high torque motors, though final durability depends on driving style and maintenance.
Check pinion seating, verify free rotation before powering, set correct mesh and backlash, and reapply lube after a short break-in run.
