Replacement bevel and pinion for Axial models

This compact gear set is made as a service replacement for Axial platforms and close derivatives, intended to carry drive torque through the drivetrain. The components use hardened steel #45 and a spiral (helical) tooth profile to encourage smoother engagement under load.

The manufacturer lists the package as including a differential bevel gear, a pinion gear, and one M4*2.5*12 screw pin. Be aware the M4*2.5*12 screw is not recommended for the Wraith chassis; preserve the original screws if fitting that model.

These gears restore worn contact surfaces between bevel and pinion, help maintain correct mesh geometry, and provide a robust replacement option for routine maintenance or tuning. Set the gear mesh to standard specifications and verify clearance inside the gearbox prior to final tightening.

Compatible Models

  • Axial RR10
  • Wraith
  • Yeti
  • SMT10
  • AX90055
  • AX90057
  • YETI Score AX90050
  • AX90068

Use this kit to replace worn bevel or pinion parts on compatible Axial-based vehicles, and always confirm screw fitment for the Wraith before installation.

The set contains one differential bevel gear, one pinion gear, and one M4*2.5*12 screw pin as supplied by the manufacturer.
Keep the supplied screw for most builds, but for the Wraith chassis the manufacturer notes it is not suitable, so reuse the vehicle's original screw hardware.
With the gearbox assembled, set a light running clearance between pinion and bevel, rotate to check for binding, then secure fasteners while maintaining the correct mesh.
The hardened steel #45 construction offers improved wear resistance, but always confirm gearbox alignment and motor load to ensure longevity under heavier use.
Refer to the Compatible Models list in the article; key fits include Axial RR10, Wraith, Yeti, SMT10 and the listed AX900 series numbers.
