This aftermarket main shaft assembly is built for AXIAL SCX10 platforms. It combines 6061 T6 aluminum housings with hardened steel #45 adjustable swing shafts and a cross-head universal joint to preserve scale appearance while improving articulation for trail use.
The alloy body lowers rotating mass compared with all-steel options, and the hardened adjustable shafts add the torsional strength required for demanding steering and axle movement. The cross-head joint increases possible steering angle, helping clear obstacles without modifying the chassis layout.
Fitting is standard for SCX10 driveline swaps: remove the original main shafts, install the alloy housings, set the adjustable shaft lengths and secure the supplied hardware. After fitting, confirm steering geometry and driveline clearance across full suspension travel prior to final tightening.
This shaft set is ideal when you need a lighter housing and hardened adjustable shafts to fine tune steering angle and driveline behavior on AXIAL SCX10-derived 1/10 scale 4WD rigs.
