Precision servo mounting for SCX10 II

This precision servo mount is machined from 6061 aluminum and made for the Axial SCX10 II chassis, listed under JR-AS206. It offers a rigid alternative to standard plastic mounts and is aimed at reducing movement that can upset steering under technical crawling conditions.

The design positions the servo at the SCX10 II's factory mounting location and gives a firm base for the servo arm and linkage. When the vehicle is heavily loaded or traversing uneven terrain, the firmer mounting helps maintain predictable steering input and response.

Installing the mount follows the SCX10 II mounting procedure: remove any necessary body panels, seat the mount in the servo bay, align the servo within the mount, and fasten using the chassis' existing screw points. Double-check horn alignment and full travel before tightening everything down.

From a tuning perspective, the aluminum mount provides greater stiffness than typical plastic parts, which can make steering trim more repeatable and simplify setup when testing different servos or suspension options.

Remove the body or access panel, place the mount into the servo bay, fit the servo and secure it with the chassis fasteners supplied or from the original mount. Verify alignment before final tightening.
The mount supports common scale crawler servo envelopes; confirm your servo's length and mounting hole pattern against the mount opening to ensure clearance.
Inspect fasteners periodically and retighten if necessary. If running in wet conditions, check for corrosion on mating screws and use appropriate corrosion-resistant hardware where needed.
