These aluminium hex adapters add a 27mm total width to increase track and improve side-to-side stability on scale crawlers and trail machines. They are designed to be compatible with AXIAL Racing SCX10 II without requiring hub or axle geometry changes.
The adapters take wheels with a 5mm centre hole and mount to a 4mm threaded wheel shaft, so compatibility depends on matching those sizes. Inside each hex the Delrin locating collar helps prevent axial slop and keeps the wheel and tyre from slipping on the shaft under heavy traction loads encountered on steep sections.
Retention hardware is arranged for secure clamping: one face uses an O-ring for preload and sealing, while the opposite side uses a spring-steel retaining ring, spring with washers, and a stainless screw to compress the stack. This layout lets you dial in retention so the wheel remains secure without binding.
Practical use is to widen stance for improved cornering and stability on rocks and tight trails, and to reduce unwanted wheel rotation when traction is lost. Fitting is mechanical and suitable for routine hobby maintenance with common hex drivers and hand tools.
