Low-profile gearbox bottom guard

Designed for AXIAL 4WD SCX24 models, this stainless steel centre gearbox bottom protector helps keep rocks and coarse sand away from the gearbox underside. The plate shields the lower gearbox face and absorbs light knocks during trail running.

Fitment and materials: made from rust-resistant stainless steel to withstand wet conditions, the guard is formed to clear adjacent chassis items while supporting the front and rear gearbox sections. Holes are positioned to match the upper main-shaft screws so the shaft can be removed without taking off the guard.

Practical installation tips: secure the plate with the included fasteners, verify main-shaft clearance and that suspension travel does not allow contact with drivetrain parts. The slim, lightweight design protects internals without adding unnecessary bulk.

Can this be used in wet or salty conditions?

Stainless steel resists corrosion better than painted steel, so it is suitable for damp environments; rinse and dry after salt exposure to prolong life.

If fitted correctly the guard sits clear of moving parts. Always cycle the suspension and rotate the drivetrain to confirm there is no rubbing before running.
