Centre belly plate designed for the Wraith

This aluminium centre belly plate is an aftermarket replacement created for Axial Wraith scale rigs. The gunmetal coating gives the plate a hard-wearing surface that mounts beneath the chassis centre to protect against scrapes and impacts during rock crawling and trail sessions. Its slim profile keeps clearance and travel intact while offering a tougher contact area than stock plastic pans.

As a tuning piece the plate provides a consistent contact patch under the centre of the chassis. Swapping out a soft or cracked centre section for aluminium can change the way obstacles are negotiated, producing more predictable belly interactions rather than dramatic handling shifts.

Specifications

  • Item: Axial Racing Wraith Aluminum Centre Skid Plate (Gunmetal)
  • Material: Aluminum
  • Model Number: AW-23021-GU
  • Compatibility: Axial Wraith chassis

Choose this plate when you want a robust centre underbody surface that integrates with standard Wraith mounts and improves repeatable protection on rocks and trails.

Basic hand tools such as a set of hex drivers and a screwdriver are usually sufficient; retain or reuse factory screws where possible for correct mounting.
Minor trimming is possible but not generally needed; altering the plate may affect fit and protection, so proceed carefully and test fit often if modifications are required.
The design is intended to use standard Wraith centre mounting points and commonly fits with factory screws, though check the hole alignment before final assembly.
The aluminium construction is more impact resistant than plastic belly pans, providing improved durability for typical rock crawling impacts, but extreme hits can still deform metal.
