This WR9013TS pinion is a 13T steel replacement made for use on Axial Wraith models and is supplied as one unit. It is designed to replace a worn motor pinion or to change gear ratio for different crawl or torque characteristics.

Role and fitment: choose this pinion when you want to reduce final drive speed for better low-speed control or to restore a fatigued 13-tooth gear. It pairs with standard spur gears and does not require any drivetrain modification beyond mesh adjustment.

Installation notes: ensure the pinion is fully seated and the set screw bites into the motor shaft. Adjust the mesh to a light, even contact and run the vehicle at low throttle to settle the gears, then recheck tightness.

Tuning tips: moving the pinion tooth count up or down by one or two teeth affects torque and speed; match tooth count to motor power and the terrain you run on. Check teeth for wear regularly and replace if deformation is found.
