This steering assembly rod is intended for Axial Racing Yeti vehicles and is offered as part number GYT049. It corresponds to the AX31122 identifier and is sold as a single replacement when the original linkage requires renewal or a firmer composite option is wanted.
The rod links the servo output to the steering knuckles and governs front-end alignment and movement. Its graphite and aluminium construction balances stiffness with low mass to provide more consistent steering feedback without changing other steering components.
Fitting is straightforward for hobbyists familiar with link swaps: remove the damaged rod, confirm match to AX31122, transfer any reusable hardware, and mount the new rod. Tighten fasteners to typical hobby torque, then cycle the steering to check for smooth travel and clearance against suspension and servo range.
From a tuning standpoint, this component is useful for dialing in steering firmness and feel. Swapping a flexible stock link for a graphite-and-aluminium rod reduces unwanted deflection in the linkage, preserving alignment when loaded and giving a crisper steering response for competitive or demanding trail use. Remember to recheck end points after installation.
Sold as 1 pcs, for RC-scale Axial Racing Yeti models only.
