Replacement Inner Axle for Double-Joint CVD

The BD-010AW from Yokomo is built as a replacement inner axle for the double-joint inboard CVD assemblies fitted to BD7 and BD5 cars. Use this axle when the existing shaft exhibits play, binding, or visible damage to prevent drive irregularities.

Supported chassis include: MRTC-BD716 / MRTC-BD716H / MRTC-BD716O / MRTC-BD716S / MRTC-BD7RS / MRTC-BD715B / MRTC-BD715O / MRTC-BD715S / MRTC-BD7RS2 / MRTC-BD7RS3S / MRTC-BD8 / MRTC-BD8A / MRTC-BD8-P / MRTC-BD8AP / MRTC-BD8SV / MRTC-BD818A / MRTC-BD818.

Role during setup: as the inner connection between the double-joint CVD and the diff output, this axle affects driveline stiffness and alignment. Check that the CVD cups and cross pins are serviceable, ensure minimal endplay in the housings, and confirm smooth rotation through full suspension travel for predictable handling.

Upkeep advice: inspect joint ends for dents or looseness and replace the axle upon signs of binding or excessive play. Maintain clean mating surfaces and bearings, and inspect again after the first runs post-replacement.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
If you spot deformation, persistent binding, or loose joints that do not respond to cleaning and lubrication, replacement is recommended to avoid further driveline damage.
Yes—replacing a worn shaft with a serviceable BD-010AW restores correct joint geometry and reduces the chance of sudden failure during use, provided surrounding parts are in good condition.
