Service shaft with titanium coating for BD7-2014 SLF shocks

This is a replacement shock shaft intended for SLF normal shocks on the BD7-2014 chassis. The shaft uses a carbide titanium surface treatment as described in the product note, which helps minimise abrasion at the shock O-ring and supports steady damper action across service intervals. The pack contains 4 pcs to cover a full car.

To fit the shaft, dismount the shock, open the body, remove the old shaft and internal parts, swap in the new shaft while inspecting seals and piston condition, then rebuild and check for smooth operation and correct oil distribution. This part is designed for maintenance and seal protection rather than being a direct tuning element like springs or pistons.

In terms of setup, the shaft plays a preventative role: by reducing wear where the shaft seals contact the O-ring it helps the damper retain consistent performance between rebuilds, allowing tuning adjustments to focus on oil, pistons, and springs without premature seal failure skewing results.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The finish hardens and smooths the shaft surface at the seal contact point, which lowers friction and abrasion on the O-ring and helps the damper stay smooth over more rebuild cycles.
The shaft is specified for BD7-2014 SLF normal shocks. It might fit other years or versions that share the same SLF shaft dimensions, but confirm the shaft length and seal bore before committing.
The package includes four shafts, covering the four shock units on a typical touring car.
No special fluids are required beyond routine shock oil. Inspect seals and pistons during the rebuild and replace any worn components to ensure correct sealing and damping.
