Hard Front Steering Carrier for BD8

The Yokomo B8-413GH is a hard-type front steering hub carrier produced using a graphite-containing resin formula tailored for BD8 series touring platforms. The stiffer material improves component rigidity relative to typical plastic carriers, promoting a quicker steering feel and improved composure in fast corners.

Each order supplies one carrier for the left side and one for the right side. Intended fitment is BD8-compatible chassis; double-check your chassis code before fitting. The unit replaces the original front hub carrier to modify steering characteristics and front-end feedback without changing suspension geometry.

Installation guidance: the part installs in the same location as the stock BD8 front hub carrier and retains the original fasteners and bearings from the assembly. After fitting verify alignment, bearing preload, and ensure full servo horn and tie-rod clearance prior to track use.

Setup advice: using this firmer, graphite-reinforced carrier reduces flex under steering load, yielding crisper initial turn-in and steadier mid-corner behavior. Integrate it into a front-end tuning sequence with tyre and suspension changes to dial in turn-in and balance.

Compatible Models

  • MRTC-BD818
  • MRTC-BD818A
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The carrier is intended for BD8-series cars and explicitly lists MRTC-BD818 and MRTC-BD818A as compatible models. Confirm your chassis code to ensure fit.
You will notice increased stiffness from the graphite resin compared with stock plastic, which reduces deformation during cornering and produces a firmer, more immediate steering sensation.
Yes, installation normally uses the existing BD8 front hub fasteners and bearings. Inspect and reuse the stock hardware unless it shows wear, then replace as needed.
