Rear-side mount construction and finish

The BD-301FR is an RC front suspension arm mount specifically for the rear side of the front assembly, built for use on Yokomo BD7 and BD5 touring-car chassis. The blue anodized aluminum finish offers corrosion resistance and a firmer seating surface for the suspension arm pins compared with typical plastic mounts.

Functionally, the mount secures the outer end of the front suspension arm and contributes to the overall suspension geometry. The crucial left-to-right distance between the arm pins is 43.5mm; confirming this measurement prevents misalignment with hub carriers and steering linkages.

Installation tips: check that the 43.5mm pin pitch matches your chassis layout prior to fitting, retain original hardware where the chassis manual advises, and inspect articulation after assembly. From a tuning perspective, this mount will influence roll center height and effective track width, useful when refining front-end grip and steering precision.

Yes, the blue anodized aluminum finish improves surface hardness and corrosion resistance compared with raw aluminum, making it better suited to regular club and practice use.
The aluminum construction handles routine removal and refitting well; use the recommended hardware torque and avoid over-tightening to preserve threads and anodize.
Clean with a soft brush and mild detergent after wet or muddy sessions, and inspect the mount for burrs or wear before reinstalling to maintain fit and function.
