Overview of the YOKBMS1260 front spring

The Yokomo YOKBMS1260 is a purpose-made front spring for BMax4 dampers, supplied in a hard purple 1260 rate. It is intended to provide a stiffer option for front suspension tuning on 1/10 scale touring electric cars without modifying the shock internals.

Installation is typical for coil-over shocks: remove the top cap, compress the shaft, slide the spring into position, seat it on the retainer, then reassemble. Use matched springs left and right to preserve neutral handling and inspect seating to avoid lateral binding on the shaft.

Tuning pointers: fitting a harder front spring increases roll resistance and limits dive under braking, which often produces more understeer. Balance changes via shock oil weight, piston selection or rear spring adjustments are recommended and should be evaluated gradually on the same surface.
