The Tamiya 25412 - 1/35 British Centurion Mk.III kit recreates one of the most influential post-war tanks with careful modelling accuracy. Known for its balance of protection and firepower, the Centurion Mk.III saw action in the Korean War and is represented here with fine surface and structure detail.
Developed from 1942 plans as a heavy cruiser tank, the Centurion was built to counter opposing armour. Key innovations included sloped front armour, a 600hp engine, and Horstmann suspension. The 1948 Mk.III upgrade added the 20 pounder gun, which became a central feature in later deployments.
The 1/35 Tamiya kit highlights the Centurion Mk.III's turret silhouette and hull plates. The kit gives the choice to show the 20 pounder with or without its canvas cover and incorporates realistic Horstmann suspension and belt-style tracks for a convincing model out of the box.
