Aluminium upgrade to stabilise front suspension

The Yokomo YOKD135 conversion set replaces the original front A-arm components in Drift Package configurations with CNC aluminium parts designed for RC drift use. It preserves the original attachment geometry so the parts mount where the Drift Package layout expects them.

Choosing aluminium arms offers a firmer pivot platform that improves the repeatability of steering inputs and roll response. This helps you lock in camber and toe settings, so small tuning moves translate into predictable changes on the track or practice surface.

Installation guidance: intended for front assemblies compatible with the Drift Package; always verify part alignment and hole spacing against your front assembly before fitting. Follow the Drift Package mounting pattern and perform a full alignment after installation to confirm geometry targets.

Aluminium reduces plastic wear at pivot points but inspect metal-to-metal contacts and bushings regularly. Replace worn bushings to avoid accelerated wear on mating parts.
Aluminium has good corrosion resistance, but salt or chemical exposure can still affect finish. Clean and dry components after wet sessions to protect the surface.
Metal arms typically resist deformation better than plastic and are less prone to permanent flex, though impacts can still cause bends; inspect after crashes and replace if damaged.
Keep pivot areas free of grit, use appropriate lubricants on bushings, and check for play. Tighten fasteners to the recommended values and monitor for fretting.
