Overview of the front one-way carrier

This front one-way housing is supplied for the Yokomo DRIFT PACKAGE family and is intended as a direct replacement for the High Performance Front One Way (D-021). The unit arrives as one complete housing to swap into compatible DP-series drift chassis.

The assembly acts as the support for the front one-way mechanism and plays a role in how the front end releases traction during slides. Fit this housing when renewing worn parts or when aligning replacement components across DP models.

Replace the housing in any listed DP-series chassis to restore proper mount geometry, inspect the one-way mechanism and bearings during service, and recheck clearances after assembly to ensure consistent front performance.
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

Can I swap this housing into an older DP-series shell?

Yes. The housing is designed for DP-series drift chassis and fits the listed DP codes, making it suitable for compatible older DP shells provided mounting faces are intact.

Should I reuse my existing bearings when installing the new housing?

If bearings are in good condition they can be reused, but any sign of play or roughness means replacement is recommended to prevent drivetrain issues after the housing swap.

Is this housing made to the same dimensions as the D-021?

The D-022A is provided as a direct replacement for the D-021 housing and maintains the same mounting and fit dimensions to ensure correct alignment with DP-series components.

Will a new housing help eliminate front drivetrain noise?

Replacing a damaged or worn housing can remove sources of misalignment that cause noise; however check bearings and one-way internals as they are common noise contributors too.
