FANTOM sensor board fitting and notes

This replacement sensor board is designed for the FANTOM motor lineup and fits motors built for a 26mm rotor. It supplies the necessary sensor interface for sensored operation when paired with HELIX, HELIX V2, ICON V2, ICON V3 and ICON-Torque motor types. The component restores electronic position feedback and does not change the motor's mechanical build.

When installing, ensure the board variant matches the specific motor model and align connector pins precisely with the motor harness. Double-check connector type and part orientation before powering the system. As this is a component-level swap, inspect connectors and solder joints on both the motor and ESC, and use ESD precautions to protect the new board.

The sensor board does not modify power delivery or timing settings itself; it simply provides the rotor position signals required by sensored ESC setups. If issues continue post-install, check ESC sensor configuration and motor timing rather than assuming a mechanical failure.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Match the board variant to the motor, position the connector so keyed edges mate, check that the board sits flush, and confirm pin numbering against the motor harness diagram before reassembly.
Some installations are plug-and-play if the motor uses a connector; others require desoldering and soldering. Inspect the existing connection to determine whether soldering tools are necessary.
Verify the ESC is set to accept sensored input, check sensor polarity if the ESC offers that setting, and run a motor detection routine where possible.
Look for burnt traces, lifted pads, broken connector pins, or visible corrosion; any physical damage suggests replacement rather than repair.
Use an ESD mat, ground wrist strap, and avoid touching exposed pads. Store the board in anti-static packaging until fitted.
The board itself does not alter tuning parameters, but restoring proper sensor signals may reveal existing ESC timing or throttle settings that need minor adjustment for optimal performance.
