Micro Abrasive Film for Smooth Scale Finishes

The Tamiya 87186 kit provides three sheets of 93 x 228mm lapping film designed to refine painted surfaces and remove tiny blemishes. Each sheet is coated with very fine abrasive granules that help level and polish paint and clear coats.

For Fine Detail and Light Material Removal

With an approximate particle size of 2 microns, this light blue film performs controlled sanding without aggressive cutting. It is well suited to work on body shells, trim pieces, and other fine components where preserving detail matters.

Use as a Pre-Polish Step

This lapping film is excellent for last-stage smoothing before moving on to compounds or wax. It helps eliminate pinholes, nibs, and minor orange peel to improve the overall sheen of your model.
