Front CVD upgrade note

This aftermarket front CVD drive shaft is offered by GPM as part HS2067FS and is made for TAMIYA HOTSHOT II 1/10 models. The component uses 4140 medium carbon steel with a thickened cross section to help resist wear compared with the stock dog bone parts.

The kit converts the front dog bone layout to CVD-style shafts, delivered as two pieces of 67mm each. Installation involves removing the original dog bones, seating the CVD cups into the existing hubs and verifying spline and hex fit; no additional adapters or special tools are included.

Intended as a durability-focused upgrade, the front CVD shafts increase torsional stiffness at the front axle. Regular checks of spline engagement and occasional lubrication of the joint and adjacent bearings will keep the drivetrain running reliably during prepared track or weekend runs.

Packing includes

  • Front CVD Drive Shaft 67mm - 2pcs

The GPM HS2067FS front CVD shaft installs as a reinforced, direct-fit alternative to standard dog bones for HOTSHOT II front drivetrain durability and service ease.

They are designed to use the existing hub and spline interfaces on compatible HOTSHOT II models, so no hub modification should be necessary when dimensions match.
The shafts are produced from 4140 medium carbon steel with a thickened profile for improved wear resistance, as specified for HS2067FS.
Confirm spline engagement, ensure the hex seats are snug, and run the vehicle at low speed to verify alignment before full use.
Apply light grease or oil to the joint and nearby bearings as part of routine maintenance, especially after wet or dusty runs.
