Fujimi FR-11 1/24 Ferrari 250 GTO kit with enhanced external fittings

This 1/24 scale assembly kit reproduces the FR-11 Ferrari 250 GTO and is supplied with photo-etched components to better represent fine exterior details such as trim, grille and badges.

The Ferrari 250 GTO emerged in the early 1960s as a homologation special for GT competition. A limited run combined a tubular chassis and V12 power with aerodynamic coachwork, producing strong class results and securing a lasting reputation among collectors. Original cars are noted for their racing provenance and high collector value.

The kit prioritizes outer appearance and display potential. Photo-etched pieces are provided to recreate delicate fittings that are difficult to replicate in plastic. The main body and structural elements are injection-moulded; assembly will require paints and adhesives. Decals and instrument face graphics are included for model-specific liveries, and careful preparation of joint faces will help secure a neat finish. Use period references when choosing correct paint and trim placement.

A detailed 1/24 scale depiction of the FR-11 Ferrari 250 GTO aimed at builders who want authentic external detailing and crisp trim work.

Work on a flat, firm surface and use dedicated photo-etch folding tools or small pliers. Make light, incremental bends rather than forcing a single movement to avoid cracking or over-stressing the metal.
Apply decals to a glossy base coat to minimise silvering, use decal setting solution to conform graphics to panel detail, and seal with a clear coat once dry for protection and uniform sheen.
Minor seam lines are common; light sanding and a small amount of model putty or filler applied sparingly, then sanded smooth, will produce a cleaner panel join prior to painting.
Mask or remove tiny etched parts when possible and paint them separately, or use careful brush work after assembly. Attaching and painting in stages reduces the risk of damaging fragile items during finishing.
