Front Spring Overview and Use

This front shock spring is intended as a direct replacement or spare for R/C car front shock assemblies and is identified as Yokomo model YOKBMS1275, labeled SS1275. Its main role is to restore controlled suspension movement and let hobbyists adjust preload together with damper choices to refine handling.

Install notes: push the spring onto the shock shaft and seat it against the retainer and spring cup in line with your shock assembly, ensure the piston moves freely and the spring is concentric on the shaft, and verify correct preload and travel before driving. Only standard shock assembly tools and a hex driver are normally required.

Tuning role: switching to the SS1275 modifies the front spring rate and preload, affecting front-end grip and balance when combined with damper valving, ride height, and anti-roll bar choices. Always swap springs as matched sets to maintain even front response.
