FZ63S gasket function and fit

The YS Engine YSF3177 under cover gasket is supplied as a replacement component for the FZ63S under-cover sealing area. It sits between the lower cover and the mating face to reduce seepage and help preserve correct internal conditions during operation and maintenance.

To fit the gasket: remove the under cover, clear all oil and grime from the contact surfaces, place the gasket flat to avoid creases, and reattach the cover while tightening fasteners evenly to recommended values. Take care not to over-torque bolts and check the mating surface for damage before fitting the new gasket.

Although the gasket does not change engine output, maintaining a correct seal helps keep compression steady and prevents oil contamination that may affect engine behaviour. Replace the gasket whenever the under cover is removed or if there are signs of wear.
