Adjust slip and traction with Dot 2 flex oil

The Yokomo YOKCSDOT2 is a silicone-based oil specially blended for gear-type differentials used in R/C models. As a tuning product, it changes internal slip to influence how power moves between wheels and how the car behaves mid-corner on 1/10 on-road and touring chassis.

Installation is straightforward: open the diff, drain existing fluid, and fill with the specified amount of the super flex oil to the gear mesh and cavity. With a softer viscosity, expect smoother, more gradual locking compared with higher weight oils.

Tuning advice: softer oils often help turn-in and grip on slippery tracks but can reduce the degree of lock under strong acceleration. Make small adjustments and evaluate on the circuit to dial in the right feel. Also inspect seals and monitor for leaks after refilling to ensure predictable performance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
On lower grip surfaces, the softer Dot 2 action can increase front-end responsiveness by preventing sudden diff lock and allowing smoother weight transfer.
Confirm your diff internals and seal condition are suitable for silicone fluid, and ensure no incompatible materials are present before filling.
Make one incremental change at a time, run consistent laps, and record handling differences at entry, mid-corner and exit to determine if further adjustment is required.
